ODE TO THE HAIR

Ok my sweet baby girl- what is the deal with your hair? One would think it would sit down the longer it gets- but no. YOu look like Albert Einstein- a very precious and beautifully blue eyes Albert Einstein. I only hope for your sake that is sits down one day!

If nothing else it is a conversation piece. Everywhere we go, people want to touch her hair. They come from miles away just to see her head. Then they go and get others to join them in viewing my dear sweet Adley's head of hair. I am convinced that is where her weight comes from! I do love it though!!! So unique

Just lovin my baby

Harper loves to hold Adley. Sometimes I think Adley is just a bit scared of her big sister. Her eyes are always so big like- whoa mom don't leave me here!! I am so greatful that Harper loves her so much. I can't wait for them to play together and see how much they love each other. How did we get so lucky?

Outdoors

Troy and I love the outdoors. We have an amazing backyard and just love being out there doing whatever! We are trying to instill this in our girls so they are always active and have a love of nature and plants and everything, like we do. Harper's class planted a ...well I'm not sure what is was...but it was growing and growing so we decided to let her plant it outside in her very own little area of the flower garden. Gammie and Poppy gave Harper some outdoor tools which she loves so she grabbed those and got busy planting her "plant". It has since kicked the bucket but who cares. She had fun and was very careful with it. This is the same day we found worm and lizard carcusses and buried them in the garden. She said her school blessing everytime as if we were having a funeral! Gotta love digging in the dirt!

I've had it people!

Adley sometimes just gets so tired that she just sleeps where she is laying. She has fallen asleep on my bed while I was folding laundry, on the beach in her tent, on her play mat, on her changing table- wherever! She just gets worn out, fusses and says FORGET IT! IF YOU PEOPLE WON'T PUT ME DOWN FOR A NAP, I'LL JUST PASS OUT HERE! It is so funny!

EASTER

Easter was so great this year. It has got to be the best holiday ever- I just love it! Gammie and Poppy were in town for the occasion and we had a great time. We dyed Easter Eggs, hunted Easter Eggs, the Easter Bunny came to town and left his footprints, and we went to the Boone Hall Easter Service. Best of all- there were deviled eggs!!!! What a great time. Harper looked so beautiful in her pink dress. So grown up

Agh- take the bottle!

So I am submitting this post as proof that Adley did once take a bottle. Sort of...She I am sure screamed during the first part of it but that is ok.I have a picture to prove it. Now she will not take a bottle and let me tell you. If one more person tells me "she'll eat if she's hungry" I will SCREAM! This child will go 12 hours straight with no food and have no problem doing it. Just as long as she doesn't have to take that bottle! Wow- she is strong willed. We need Gammie to come back and help us!

Strawberry Patch

Good ole Mimi came down a few weeks ago and took us to the Strawberry Patch Festival. It was loads of fun and super crowded! We didn't get to pick strawberries as the wait was over an hour but we rode some cool rides. Harper is quite the daredevil and had no fear on some of the rides I thought were too old for her! Adley enjoyed the day sleeping away in the Baby Bjorn- God bless whoever invented those!
