Sitting Up!

Adley is sitting up now and we are so pumped! She feels so sturdy now and Harper just throws her around and picks her up and Adley just laughs and giggles! It has gone by so fast. I can't wait until they are running around together and laughing. Although, I don't want to wish this time away either. I just want to freeze my time with my girls!

Playing Machine

Adley has finally started to play and just hang out like a baby and not a newborn! When she starts to fuss we can actually convince her she is ok and get her to play with something else. She is such a smiley little thing and just loves her sister! How did we ever make it without her? She just brings us such joy!

Me and My Best Friend

We have had so much fun watching Ellie and Harper grow up together and play together. Now they are starting to have little arguments and it is so funny! They are real friends now- not just forced together by Ellie's mommy and me! We had a cook out at Lane and Ryan's last Saturday and it was such a blast. They girls played and played while we just hung out. So awesome! We look forward to many more days of that!

Bulls Island

We took the girls to Bulls Island this past weekend and it was so much fun- a very buggy experience- but fun none the less. We left on a ferry ride around 9:00 and got to Bulls Island around 9:30. Harper loved the boat ride and Adley just hung out looking at everyone move around. We walked to the beach and had the whole place to ourselves. It was so nice! The girls did so awesome-no crying of fussing from either one and it was a long day so I was impressed!

I'm Want to be a Princess

We have signed up Harper for Fairy Tale Ballet Lessons as a result of her obsession with being a princess. She wears her princess shoes and crown to sleep every night and wants to dress in her outfit every day! Her Fairy Tale Dance class lets them dress up as a fairy tale princess every week and learn a new dance. She will LOVE IT! So she just frolics around in her princess outfit and is so girly! I love it!!

Sleeping Beauties

This past weekend at the beach was a lot of fun! We played so hard and the girls were exhausted- so were Troy and I. Harper took a four hour nap on Saturday and Adley took a three hour nap and a two and a half hour nap! They slept like champs!!They are just two sleeping beauties!!

I'm a Diva

Adley Hair Update

Just wanted to post a hair update so we always and forever remember my beautiful baby girl's hair! It just keeps going up and up and up!

Harper and Porter

Harper loves her cousin Porter so much! She calls him my friend Porter and has no idea what a cousin is but whatever right?! We went to the beach this weekend and they ran and hugged each other. Porter carries her around and they went on trips to the pier with Pop Pop. They had a good time chasing each other around and doing flips and swimming in the pool. Everything you can imagine! When they get together they practically wear each other slam out which leads to some good sleeping! I wish we got to see them a lot more often than we do.

4th of July!

We had a very non-exciting 4th this year. Troy had to be at work at 9:00 and I am NOT going to take my girls to the pool without another adult. Harper is too crazy! So we had Ellie and and Lane over to play, which was really fun for the girls and good for Ms. Lane and I to talk for awhile!! Then, we just hungout til daddy came home. Hopefully next year will be sooooooooooo much better!! Thanks Ellie and Lane for making our day more fun!!

Playground

We got Harper and Adley a new playground from some people on Craigslist- highly recommended by the way! It is huge- has a picnic table, rope swing, two other swings, store area, climbing wall, ramp and a slide and it covered by a wooden roof! IT was a pain to put together but totally worth it. Harper has enjoyed it tons so far and we've had several friends over to play on it. We attached the baby swing onto it and Adley has been enjoying it as well. Well worth the investment -THANKS GAMMIE AND POPPY AND MIMI AND POP POP!! Our girls are so lucky to have each of you!!

OOH My Jewelry

Harper has become such the girly girl-much to daddy's dismay! I told him she could still play sports and like her girly girl stuff but he is not convinced! Anyway, she decided to put on ALL of her jewelry for an outing a few weeks ago and wanted to wear her princess heels too. OOh we are in so much trouble!! Check out those diamond earrings!!

My first real meal!

I just decided to give Adley some rice cereal a few weeks ago-just to see how she would do- not expecting her to like it at all. Well I was mistaken! She devoured two TBSP of rice cereal. For those in the midst of introducing solids right now, you know how much two TBSP or rice cereal is for a FIRST MEAL!! It was hilarious and so much fun!! Harper fed her some bites too which made it even better-she has her own real live baby doll to feed now!!

Mr. Wes's Birthday Party

Our great friend Wes had a b-day party and his wonderful wife decided to include all their friends and their children in a big kid-friendly cook-out! There were so many kids ranging from a few weeks to eight or nine years old! We had such a blast-though I think the kids had an even better time. We all just sat around and marveled at how much our lives had changed over the past few years when it was just us-now we have millions of kids! Adley didn't make it too long before she had to go night-night in one for the may upstairs pac-n-plays. Harper played her little heart out with Riley, Morgan and Ellie. I hope we can make a habit of doing this with all the kids because I want them to grow up being really close friends! We all need all the friends and family we can get.
