I love my sisty!

Harper has just fallen in love with Adley, whom she has deemed sisty- not sissy! She loves to play with her on her mat and make her roll over and hug and kiss her. It is so sweet! I keep telling her that soon Adley will be able to play with her. Adley follows her everywhere with her eyes and laughs at her all the time. I just am so in love with my beautiful girls and my beautiful family! Troy and I are the luckiest people alive!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Monday was Troy's birthday so Harper, Adley and I had to get busy making daddy's birthday cake and getting his presents ready. Harper just wanted to blow out the candles and eat the sprinkles she dumped all over the cake. It was fun and we said Happy Birthday loud and proud! Yay Daddy!! We love you!

Cupcake Time

There is a book that Harper and I read about counting cupcakes and everytime we read it, she asks to make cupcakes with sprinkles. So, me being the kind of mom who loves to cook and make a mess, we bought some cupcakes and broke out the sprinkles and icing. She decorated those things forever and they were neon green, pink, orange, blue and purple. She loved it and made a huge mess out of our kitchen! Troy almost had a heart attack! She loves the icing but we can't get her to eat a cupcake-
strange girl that Harper!

Look at Me!

Adley is growing up so fast it is scary. She learned how to roll over several weeks ago and now is working on sitting up. It is hard to believe. We broke out the exersaucer last week and she has found a new place to play! She works hard on grabbing those keys and getting them to her mouth! It is just as cool the second time around to see how little babies develop and learn so much about the world around them! She is so sweet!!!

Swimming, Swimming in the Swimming Pool!

We went to our beach house in Garden City this past weekend and discovered with have two fishies on our hands!! We have not been able to find a swimming flotation deal for harper because swimmies won't keep her afloat. So we did double duty- intertube and swimmies and that worked like a charm. Both days Adley decided to forego a nap in order to have ample swimming time. She loved the water!! Looks like the beach trips may be vetoed in preference for the pool!

Agh- Just so sweet

No entry really needed. Look at those beautiful girls!

Shawn and Michelle's Wedding

This past weekend we had Troy's best friend's wedding in Cleveland, OH. Troy was the best man and Harper was the flower girl. It was so much fun! We and Troy's family stayed in a house on Lake Erie and we played on the playground on the beach there. I was quite impressed with the local grocery store which was as small as a gas station but had all you could ever need. We took a walk around the little neighborhood and had such a nice time with the whole family. I got to meet my nephew Lincoln for the first time and Harper just loves him! Adley stayed home this trip- thank goodness because what a busy weekend it was. The wedding was great though and so much fun!! Harper really needed a weekend with just mommy and daddy and she even got to fly home with mommy all by herself- which she LOVED!!!! FLY SO FAST MOMMY!!!

My Gracious Your Hair

I have to give an update on the hair. Yes it is still standing and yes it is still growing!!! Of course people still stop us on the streets, at the grocery store, etc. to marvel at the wonder that is Adley's hair!! I've posted her hair at three angles for your viewing pleasure!!

Me and My Buddy

Harper has recently decided that she loves Miller. She makes him chase her and feeds him his treats and everything. On Sunday, we were calling her to come do something and she said- "wait guys. Miller and Harper are eating." She was feeding him goldfish and he was gladly hanging with her. I think they are going to be great friends. Hopefully he'll want to sleep with her rather than mommy and daddy!! One can dream right?
Although, Adley may give Harper a run for her money. Miller just goes into Adley's room and sits by her crib. It is very strange...

Waterpark!!

We took Adley and Harper to the waterpark this past weekend and I have to say it was the best day ever! Harper just squealed and laughed and swam and we had such a blast. Adley even got in the water and loved it! Then of course she just konked out on the grass all sprawled out. Then we got the girls to NAP AT THE SAME TIME!!!! Troy and I didn't quite know what to do with ourselves! We also grilled out and just hung in the backyard. Such a great day.
I can't wait to take Harper back to the waterpark. She is such a fish!

Yummy- My fingers!!!

Ok- so we have another thumb - or finger- sucker in our family! Is that hereditary? Adley has def. started just sucking away at her hands and fingers all the time. It is so funny and so LOUD!! If only bottles were made out of material like fingers we'd be in business.

Me and My Sis

Harper is so looking forward to the day that Adley can play with her. She plays on her mat with Adley everyday and talks to her and tickles her- it is so great to see her love her sister so much! It just melts my heart also to see Adley laugh at her. Though she may be a little frightened Harper is going to jump on her, she still laughs so hard! I love you girls so much!

Queen Bee

Harp has done so awesome with the addition of Adley to our family. She has only had a few meltdowns regarding the sharing of mommy and daddy issue- we are quite impressed. She has, however, started to tell us that she wants to be the baby and wanted to fed a bottle and everything. It is so funny and I guess totally normal! We just make a huge deal about it and make it really funny so she laughs and then we hopefully move on. What a big girl she is though! She def. rules the roost for now with her antics! We have our hands full in days to come!! She is the queen bee and has the outfit to prove it!

Memorial Day

We had such a great Memorial Day this year. Aunt Allyson and Aunt Petey came into town for the occasion and I got to see Aunt Robbie for a little bit too. It rained for a large part of the weekend but it was still fun. We beached and then had a Memorial Day cookout with tons of kids!! We really have lots of kids between us and our friends! Harper and Ellie got to play together at the party, which was so great and they even got to watch Horton Hears a Who. Adley konked out on the beach in her little tent and Harper and I played in the rain. Life is crazy with these two little ones but so much fun!
